The bald cypress allee and teahouse were added in the 20's and 30's, according to Marian Coffin, as the finishing touch to the garden. The allee is 200' long and culminates in a teahouse with four Verona rose marble columns and a small single jet, circular, Verona rose marble basin.

Absolutely gorgeous. I'll have to come see this sometime this summer.

I agree with Jeffrey. The gardens are beautiful. I really appreciate you sharing this blog with me. Someone asked me today if I would like for her to take me on a tour of your gardens, I answered her with, "I really would like that".

I absolutely love to visit the gardens and grounds, always something new and interesting to see. The house is one of the most beautiful homes in the area, unfortunately leaving a home vacant for so long invites vandals. With all the wealth in Delaware, I wish someone would save this beautiful home and restore it to it's former glory.
